Car Engine Damage Model
Hi,

I want to show you my vision of car engine damage model:

Radiator damage during collision (average force of impact):
- Loss of coolant from radiator (if a small amount or absence of coolant: overheating engine and decrease power, white smoke escaping from engine).
- Alarm high temperature of engine on dashboard.
- Audio effects of engine malfunction.
- As a consequence damage of engine (black smoke escaping from engine).

Engine damage during collision (very high force of impact):
- Loss of oil from engine (if a small amount or absence of oil: overheating engine and decrease power, gray smoke escaping from engine).
- Alarm lack oil pressure of engine on dashboard.
- Alarm high temperature of engine on dashboard.
- Audio effects of engine malfunction.
- As a consequence damage of engine (black smoke escaping from engine).

For both above: in case of serious damage, low engine rpm should give us time to reach for pits and repair them before total engine damage.

Engine damage during collision (incredible force of impact):
- Immediate destruction of engine.

I think that LFS would be more realistic after introduction of my improvement suggestions.

Sorry if part of this has been suggested already.
Try RBR (Richard Burns Rally).

Sorry, but I'm not looking for other racing games.

rbr is a good example of ur suggestions and i would love to see this damage in lfs
I would love this

In the current state, King Kong can use the RB4 as toiletpaper, but it is still fully drivable

But a impact in the rear of car, don't damage radiator though, but might loose your muffler :P
